Most of us have regrets and unresolved issues from high school. There are things we wish we could do differently. Things we wish we’d known. Some of us wish we had been different people; kinder, friendlier, more open to others, and less absorbed with our own tiny dramas.
When a woman I knew in high school confessed these feelings, I empathized. Although I hadn’t known her well back then, I do know that she treated me kindly and with sincerity. For that, I’ve always been grateful.
